Universities differ in many ways, yet all of them depend on the same three value streams — teaching, research and transfer (dissemination) — and on the enabling capabilities of their administration.

In times of tight budgets, open source projects and the principle of “Public Money, Public Code” are the most sensible approach to interoperability and to comparability through benchmarks — and the easiest one to justify.

That is why several organisations and universities are working together to create a modern platform for enterprise architecture management, IT service management and automation.
